Around the yard, there are all sorts of small hardware items which you may need as they either wear out or break. Horses can be quite destructive!
It’s always useful to have spare ring ties as they are often pulled out of stable or yard walls by horses that pull back; unfortunately, once they have learned how to do this, it can become a repeated behaviour. Horses should always be tied to a piece of baling twine rather than directly to the ring tie so the string will break in an emergency. Snap hooks have endless uses around the yards. You find them on the end of lead ropes but they can also be useful to secure top door bolts for those inquisitive horses who have worked out how to open them. Roller buckles and harness rings are handy to replace on rugs and other equestrian clothing. They save time rather than having to send the item off for repair, mend on site and get that rug back on the horse again.
